Installing High Power Charging Stations for Warehouses and Logistics

To keep electric warehouse trucks moving without long delays, busy logistics hubs need fast, high capacity charging stations. For this project, EIS Electrical was brought in to design and install a heavy duty 3 phase power infrastructure built specifically to run industrial forklift battery chargers.

Running industrial fast chargers requires a massive, continuous stream of electricity that standard plug circuits simply cannot handle. Our team built a heavy duty power setup straight from the building's main distribution board, running thick armored cables through tough metal conduit pipes directly to newly installed industrial safety isolation switches and high amperage 3-phase power sockets. This setup ensures a steady, safe, and efficient power flow that stops wires from overheating and keeps warehouse operations running smoothly.

Protecting Cables with Tough Trunking and Overhead Paths

To protect the heavy duty power cables from getting damaged by warehouse traffic or machinery, our team installed tough metal conduit pipes right along the facility walls. For high level sections, we neatly route the cables overhead and drop the power lines straight down into each charging bay.

Connecting to the Main Power Board and Balancing the Load

We upgraded the building's main electrical distribution board by adding dedicated high amperage safety switches to handle the extra power. Our team carefully wired, tested, and balanced the new electrical demand across the main internal power bars to prevent overloading.

Installing Heavy Duty 3-Phase Sockets and Safety Switches

For maximum safety on the warehouse floor, we installed industrial grade 3-phase interlocked sockets right next to dedicated rotary isolation switches. This setup lets warehouse workers cut the power locally right at the station whenever they need to service or maintain the chargers.

Testing and Powering Up the Charging Bays

The final step is connecting the new 3-phase power lines directly to the main forklift battery chargers. Before turning everything on, our team runs strict safety checks, verifies that all grounding is completely safe, and checks the electrical phase rotation to make sure the chargers power up perfectly..
